Keep in mind there is no cell coverage up there. If you get lost, you are on your own. For you ham radio types, the Mary's Peak Repeater might be a good choice at 146.78-. And, Simplex at 145.52. I'll (Jon) be monitoring those freqs. starting around 3PM on Friday.
About the only thing we will need for certain is firewood, please bring as much as you can to contribute to the pile & depending on the weather perhaps some tarps too.
If you are coming from I-5, take the Hwy 34 exit 228 west bound. Go 10 or so miles. When just east of Corvallis, take the Hwy-34 bypass on your left (second stoplight before you cross the bridges to Corvallis). Once on the bypass bridge, take the first "exit" to Hwy 99W. Go 13 or so miles to Alpine Rd. Turn right. Follow Alpine road which turns into South Fork Rd. (keep right). S. Fork road will turn into Fall Creek Access rd. Watch for the signs below about a mile after Alsea Falls campground. It is on your right, and is marked "private", so don't let that fool you. When we get there, we'll put out an orange "traffic cone" at the turnoff.
